Finance minister to table MTBPS

FINANCE Minister Tito Mboweni looks set to announce further capital transfers to state-owned enterprises (SOEs), especially SAA, when he tables the Medium Term Policy Budget Statement (MTBPS) next week.

However, concerns have been raised about the state’s ability to provide further bailouts to troubled SOEs amid the expected rise in public debt.
