ESSENTIAL CAST-ON METHODS

THERE IS a huge variety of ways to cast on at the start of any knitting project, and many of us tend to stick with the one or two methods we first learned, such as the knitted cast-on, the backwards loop or the thumb cast-on. There’s nothing wrong with using a simple cast-on, but sometimes a simple tweak can make all the difference to the end result. Here we take a look at four fundamental methods which every knitter should know.
