MONTY Moodley endeared himself to thousands of people, with feelings of connection and happiness, by cooking for them.
Thus, when Moodley, unquestionably Durban’s best-known restaurateur, passed away after a short illness last week, those who attended his funeral bore ample testimony to his popularity as a people’s person. Tributes delivered at the funeral service all had a common thread – Moodley lived to make those around him happy.
