JAGUAR XKR

Passenger door module

Q On my 2010 Jaguar XKR, I have replaced the passenger door module (PDM) new unit flags up a code, ‘U2100 - Initial configuration is not complete’. Is there any way that I can get the car to initialise the unit? I have a Jaguar-Land-Rover-specific code reader (Foxwell NT510), but this lacks the functions such as coding and programming. Frank Smyth

A There is a Jaguar technical bulletin number XK419-002 that makes reference this code and it says, “On vehicles prior to VIN B01982, clear and ignore this DTC.” But it makes no mention of action that should be taken on vehicles built after this VIN.

The NT510 does offer some module coding support and this is briefly explained on page 28 of the user’s manual. You may be able to select the module and use the NT510 to reset the factory default.

If this does not work, I am afraid it will be dealer-level equipment needed to reset the module.
