As a country kid growing up around dirtbikes in Inverell, NSW, it was no real surprise that Josh Strang became a competitive racer. His father, Vince, was a top-shelf racer and is an adventure-riding legend these days.
What is a surprise is that this boy from the Northern Highlands made the move to the heartland of cross-country racing in the US and, after 14 years at the top level, is still fighting for outright wins and rarely slips off the podium.
Strangy has raced the best there is, including David Knight, Charlie Mullins, Paul Whibley and Kailub Russell. His entire pro career has been in America except for his first Senior year, in 2006, racing in the AORC.
