African Hunting Gazette: When did your parents come to Africa?

Paddy Curtis: My parents came out to Africa after WW2, travelled down from Kenya, and settled in Rhodesia. My father became a teacher and Head Master of Ruzawi School (a private boys’ school), and married Gayle. Their son Sean works in Brisbane, Australia.

AHG: When were you born.

PC: I was born on 9 July 1959 in Salisbury (now Harare).

AHG: What made you interested in hunting?
