In San Francisco’s Noe Valley, a delightful neighbor- hood of two- and three-story homes surrounded by hills, there’s a tearoom that truly resembles an antiques shop. No surprise: it began as one back in the 1990s. But customers far preferred tea to antiques, so its focus shifted.
Today, the city’s oldest tearoom is crammed with mismatched furnishings, porcelain, collectibles, vintage photographs, a classic red British telephone booth replica, and a mosaic of broken china.
