Fishing Headlamp Review

Fishermen are always looking for new gear to give them the “angler’s edge.” When it comes to headlamps, though, it seems that some fishermen are in the dark. Some fishers don’t know which brands are good, which models are best, and how much to spend on a good light. That’s where this article comes into play.

Over the years, I’ve had many headlamps from the old-school halogen lights to newer superbright LED headlamps. I will review some popular models and some models that people may not have heard of. I have used most of these lights and brands extensively for some years, and decided to limit this review to a few criteria:

• Each model must be over 500 lumens running (not a short burst mode);
• Each model must have the battery pack contained on the headband; and
• Each light must use LED technology.
