ON ANY GIVEN MORNING, chances are you’ll find at least a few members from Brisbane’s Roma Street Fire Station sneaking in a pre-shift roll before suiting up for their day’s work.

All up, around 12 of the station’s current firies are cyclists, with their rides mostly taking in the undulating 35km ‘River Loop’ via St Lucia, Tennyson and Dutton Park, but sometimes venturing further afield when schedules allow.
