GUNS FOR THE GIRLS

Ladies, remember your first lesson? It's likely you were handed a club gun that was just the right size. For someone larger that is.

These days shotgun manufacturers have awoken to the demand from women shooters. In fact, some of the guns featured here have been available for a few years now.

Women tend to favour a higher comb that fits the bone structure of a feminine face, so a Monte Carlo stock can be a godsend. A condensed grip is comfortable for smaller hands and a shorter length of pull – the distance from trigger to butt – is preferable for petite frames.

Beyond that, what do women want? We asked four of our favourite lady shots: World Compak Champion Amy Easeman, five times British Olympic Trap Champion & World and European Gold Medallist Abbey Ling, champion shot, contributor Becky McKenzie and highly ranked A class shot and Sportrap talent Ceyla Ismet.
