Muntjac moments

I confess there are occasions when my attitude towards muntjac is comparable with that of Das Reich to the French Resistance. Currently, I am having my heels nipped by one territorial muntjac buck which occupies dense woodland behind one of my favourite fallow high seats.

The culprit in question invariably lets me get half way up the ladder and then starts to bark. Once started he just goes on and on alerting the fallow for hundreds of yards in all directions. If I could only see him through the trees and brambles I would soon put a stop to that!
