Exercise scientists continue to debate whether high-intensity or steady-state training is the best way to burn fat, but new research out of the University of Arkansas suggests that when it comes to torching visceral fat – the specific kind of belly fat that increases your risk of diabetes and heart disease – HIIT is the winner. The researchers found that subjects who did 12 weeks of of abdominal visceral fat.
