Psych evaluation

Die Sentrum (The Centre) is more than just a tale of hope and trust. The new Afrikaans-isiXhosa telenovela is exploring the world of helpline counsellors who’re using their skills to assist the people reaching out in their time of need to ask for help. Asking for help is difficult – especially when you’re in a field where you’re directing people towards a better place yourself. And the more the group of eight colleagues help their patients, the more they’re going to realise that they’re in need of guidance themselves as the telenovela starts on Thursday 8 April on SABC2 (*192) at 18:00, airing Thursday and Fridays going forward.

The core theme of Die Sentrum is (Sebastian Price in telenovela Legacy, 2020-now, see p27), who isn’t part of the core cast but he will have an important role to play for one of the lead characters. “We are looking at these people and how they are growing and getting the space to develop. But you need to remember that they’re people too, and they go through struggles in life while they help people as professionals.”
