WHETHER YOU’RE A regular competitor or jump for fun, being able to maintain a good jumping position is vital. This position serves two main purposes: one, to keep you safe and in the saddle; two, to help your horse stay in balance and negotiate the obstacle successfully. If you are unable to maintain a good jumping position, you are making it much more difficult for your horse to jump cleanly and safely. It won’t feel pleasant either, potentially knocking your confidence as well as your horse’s.
