Our local clay club did not shoot at all last year. The traps, safety cages and all the gear never came out of storage. Our summer season runs from April to August but COVID-19 made it impossible to operate.

I managed three days on partridges and pheasants in the autumn, when the windows of opportunity were open, and some of my crop protection friends continued their lone vigils to keep the pigeon population under control for the local farmers.
