POETS & WRITERS MAGAZINE ANNOUNCES application information for writers conferences, literary festivals, and residencies of interest to poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and translators. Applications for the following events are due shortly. Conferences and festivals with rolling, first-come, first-served admission are listed well in advance. Some accept registration on the date of the event. Contact the sponsoring organization for an application and complete guidelines, as well as updates regarding the impact of public health guidelines. When requesting information by mail, enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE). All accessibility information has been provided by the sponsoring organizations.

American University of Paris Summer Creative Writing Institute

The American University of Paris Summer Creative Writing Institute offers workshops to poets and fiction writers from June 30 to July 21 on the university’s campus in the seventh arrondissement in Paris. The faculty includes poet Biswamit Dwibedy and fiction writer Amanda Dennis. The cost of tuition is €1,966 (approximately $2,375) for auditors; the cost of tuition for transferable academic credit is €3,932 (approximately $4,750). Lodging is available in residence halls arranged through the university. Submit a personal statement, academic transcripts (or a copy of a tertiary degree for auditors), and online application form with a €50 (approximately $60) application fee by June 15.
