    Hang Loose Beach is well respected on the competition scene and continues to host several annual international freestyle and racing events. Sofia Tomasoni won one of the first ever gold medals for kiteboard racing in 2018 at the Youth Olympic Games and was trained alongside the rest of the Italian team at Hang Loose and its surrounding beaches.
