    NISSAN has revealed the new third-generation version of its most important model in the UK – the Qashqai family SUV. A mild-hybrid petrol model arrives first, followed by a new ‘e-POWER’ hybrid in early 2022.

    This Qashqai will be the first Nissan to sit on a new mechanical platform, which the manufacturer calls ‘CMF-C’. It promises to be both lighter and stronger than previous models and will underpin a wide range of future vehicles from Nissan and its sister brands.

    The major news with this Qashqai is that purely petrol and diesel engines have been dropped in favour of a line-up of petrol-electric hybrids.
