Broken hearts

It’s one thing to learn that your husband of 30 years is living a double life. It’s another story to find out that he has mistress and a 17-year-old illegitimate son – who is a patient at your workplace. Let’s just say that the scenario hits Durban Gen’s receptionist MaCele (Thuli Zulu) like a ton of bricks this fortnight.

During MaCele’s chat with medical intern (Nelisiwe Sibiya), the doc (Nhlankanipho Mhlongo) is the son of MaCele’s paramedic hubby Bab’Gumede (Sfiso Sibiya). “That’s not the half of it,” says Thuli. Mbali discloses that MaCele and Bab’Gumede’s nurse son (Bhekisizwe Mahlawe) has run tests to check whether he can donate his bone marrow to save Msizi’s life.
