Lap for Harris

A special lap of honour took place at Thruxton for safety car observer Pete Harris, who passed away at the end of April. Safety car driver and friend Scott Stringfellow, who had worked with Harris in the BTCC since 2005, conducted the lap, with Harris’s crash helmet in the passenger seat of the Porsche. Former marshal Harris, who had also had a brief race career himself in an MG, was a popular member of the BTCC paddock and was also well known for his work on the A1GP series.
