WAKE UP CALL
Squeezing into my seat on the plane, I attempted to pull my seat belt around me.
But at my size, it was clear it wasn’t going to make it.
‘Excuse me,’ I said to the stewardess, quietly.
‘Do you have a seat belt extender at all? Mine doesn’t seem to quite fit.’
I was absolutely mortified.
When the stewardess called out for an extender across a plane full of people, I wanted the ground to swallow me up.
