LAST year’s world-leading seven-year-old Kingsborough Kasper stepped up with confidence to take a win on his grand prix debut for Louise Saywell, delivering the quickest of just three double clears round a testing track.

A schedule that eased in with some softer 1.30m to 1.40m opens ended with a bang for the final day’s big class, where only four horses jumped first round clears from 50 starters.

Two of these were piloted by Louise, who also took Old Lodge’s grey Sharp Image, a winner in the opening day’s 1.35m, through to the decider.
