I am watching: Friends: The Reunion special (2021) on Showmax.
My take on this show: it’s everything you could have asked for from the original cast of sitcom Friends (1994-2004) getting back together, brilliantly edited so that you’re never bored. The special starts with them gathering round on the old set overwhelmed by nostalgia, and these experiences are intercut with them watching clips of the show and reading original scripts. It’s also a documentary about how the series was made, including some writers’ room secrets. The only part that doesn’t really gel is talkshow host James Corden’s (The Late Late Show With James Corden, 2015-2020) Q&A session.
