The Philosophy of Cowes Week

Most people know what to expect – Cowes Week has been runing since 1826, after all – but times change and regattas change, so I thought it would be useful to set down in writing what you could describe as our ‘regatta philosophy’. Now before you turn the page, I’m not getting all Nietzsche on you, just describing in plain terms what new and experienced sailors at Cowes Week can look forward to and maybe answering a few questions too.

We look forward to welcoming everyone for the first ever Opening Party (with free drinks from our sponsor Cuvée 450!) on Saturday 31 July.

For now, our philosophy. We start with some basics:
