CELEBRATED SETS
The Principality of Monaco has been issuing commemorative stamps since 1928. And in doing so, it has used the design and production facilities of its neighbour to produce stamps in the unmistakeable French style, but with their own slant on what to celebrate and how.
For instance, France celebrated the Centenary of the International Telecommunications Union with one, rather cluttered, stamp design.
Monaco spread the story over eleven stamps for surface mail plus another 10f value for airmail. But, as before in this series, we will concentrate on the regular postage issues only.
