My first garage was when I was in my teens, in the summer of 1960. I rented it with a friend named Paul, to house our 1939 Oldsmobile Series 70 four-door sedan that we bought together. Our plan was to make it into a show car for cruising the drive-ins on Saturday nights. We only paid $25 for it because it had a bad clutch.
