Hobby’s 2022 range to include new pop-top campervan

The first of next seasons motorhomes and campervans have been revealed after German maker, Hobby, unveiled its 2022 models, although it has saved one major launch for later this year.

An all-new campervan range, called Beachy, was confirmed for the 2022 season, but only limited details were released. The full reveal of the new campervan will be at this year’s Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf, Germany, at the end of August.

What we do know is it will be a pop-top entry-level camper that sits below the two Hobby Vantana campervan ranges already available.

The new Beachy will be a back-to-basics campervan with, we expect, minimal equipment levels (although more will be able to be added by dealers if required).

Hobby did reveal a Beachy caravan range and we understand many of the design cues used in this entry-level caravan will be adopted in the new Beachy campervan.

So expect bleached wood tones and bleached striped fabrics, a very basic kitchen (there is just a pull-out coolbox and small sink in the caravan version, so no grill or hob) and possibly no washroom.

As soon as more details are released we will bring them to you.

But what was revealed by Hobby is a new, more dynamic exterior design for all its motorhomes and campervans, with the top-of-the-range Optima DeLuxe (pictured) getting a new premium look.
