Who’s Who on the club and show scene

Q Which clubs have you been most involved with? Any official roles?

Steve Cook: I joined my first club Hull Cage Bird Society in 1972 as a juvenile at the age of 10, as well as the C&AB’s Junior Bird League. I helped steward at the shows, then in 1982 I took on my first official roles on the committee as show secretary and patronage secretary.

The club was reformed in 1995 as Hull British & Canary Club, and then as Hull Canary club. It folded in 2013 and the following year fanciers
