BOURNEMOUTH & COUNTIES CBA, POOLE & PARKSTONE CBS and SWANAGE & PURBECK CBS combined joint “Jurassic Coast” open show will be held at the West Parley Memorial Hall on November 7, subject to any restrictions. Further details will be published when available.
RIPON CBS the cup show on September 26 and the open show on December 19 are to go ahead at this time. They will be held at the Coronation Hall, Boroughbridge. BUDGERIGAR SOCIETY official historian, “Why Ghalib Al-Nasser is the right man for the job”, by Terry Tuxford, BS publicity officer. If you want a job done, then give it to a busy person. Having been vice-chairman of the BS for many years and recently standing down to make way for Grant Findlay and to facilitate change, Ghalib may have thought that he would have some free time on his hands. But no, that will certainly not be the case with his new roles and particularly that of BS official historian.
The BS is planning to issue a booklet about the history of the society at the centenary celebrations in 2025 and this is part of the work required for those celebrations. It is also the right thing to do for a society that has such a long and
