Rare breed society secretary

I was taught to ride by an ex-jockey on Dartmoor. I’d be plonked on a pony and the only advice I was given was, “Don’t fall off, it’s a long walk home.” I’ve since ridden all my life.

At one point I worked for Olympic showjumper Vittorio Orlandi at his yard in Milan, Italy. My job tended
