New Catalog of 19th Century Russian Notes

A superb Russian numismatic researcher and author, Mikhail Istomin, has recently released his latest work on the notes of his country. Its title is 19th Century Non-Governmental Currency Issues in the Russian Empire, a large-size work of 560 pages. This is the seventh volume in a truly great series of large catalogs, most of which deal with notes issued during the civil war period of 1917-1922 in Russia. Most of the text in these masterfully written tomes is in both Russian and English which unlocks the listings for a great many who try to use the information.
