It feels fitting that I should be writing this in Somerset, a county synonymous with apples and, of course, cider. Even more so, is the fact that I’m located in Glastonbury, known as Avalon which translates as ‘the isle of fruit [or apple] trees’ and is the legendary island featured in the Arthurian legend.
