’Anything is possible.’ A mantra that’s been trotted out for generations to gee us up as a species and remind us that ambition is critical, and that we can make amazing things happen if only we can forego the natural perceived= hurdles thrown up by our brains saying ‘Er, that sounds a bit tricky’. Obviously it’s not literally true, not everything is possible. You can’t suddenly decide to teleport yourself to the petrol station so you can buy some latenight Jaffa Cakes. Or spirit a packet of Jaffa Cakes magically into your hand so you don’t even have to bother getting up. Or form a mental sweep of the kitchen drawers for errant Jaffa Cakes. Basically, you ought to abandon your unrealistic Jaffa Cake-related fantasies, life does take a bit of effort sometimes.
The ‘anything is possible’ philosophy, however, is a very important one to keep simmering away in the thought processes when it comes to modifying cars. They are, after all, just things, made of metal and plastic and rubber and glass. They didn’t magic themselves into being, they
