Forging a new IDENTITY

TRICOLORE FLAG

nspired by the cockades () worn by revolutionaries, the became the national flag of France in 1790. Red and blue were the colours of Paris, while white represented the monarchy (which hadn’t yet been abolished). Originally ordered red, white, blue, the colours were reversed in 1794 to create the flag we still see today.
