Liberty leaps to supreme honours

A YOUNG working hunter headed the overall supreme lineup, securing the £1,000 prize pot after giving his rider his eighth Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) ticket of the term.

Seven-year-old heavyweight Ballypatrick Liberty (Elvis) and Will Morton were one of three combinations presented for the supreme by producer Justine Armstrong-Small, who also had her own middleweight hunter Carlingfords King and Lauren Bryce’s heavyweight cob Hortons Magnifico through to the overall championship.
