Colin Turkington has been dubbed the King of Croft for a number of years, and the West Surrey Racing man added to his win tally as the British Touring Car Championship headed for North Yorkshire to kick-start a busy spell of four rounds in six weeks.
The West Surrey Racing driver made it 13 wins at the circuit with a victory in the final race of the weekend to move up to third in the championship standings, having earlier seen Laser Tools Racing’s Aiden Moffat and MB Motorsport’s Jake Hill take to the top step of the podium for the first time this season.
Four drivers are covered by just eight points in the championship standings at the end of the weekend but the problem for that quartet is thatAsh Sutton remains clear at the top after a seventh podium of the season allowed him to retain a handy buffer ahead of the trip to Silverstone for round eight.
