WRITING AN ARTICLE

One of the great things about the NZ Hunter magazine is that they welcome submissions from anyone, regardless of age, gender, hunting background or writing experience.

Hunters all around the country have stories of epic trips and memorable experiences that could inspire readers to enjoy the great outdoors or extend their comfort zone. Each of us celebrates hunting as a sport and way of life in our own unique way, so we all have the potential to bring a fresh voice to the mix. Many of the stories in the mag are from folks who are hunters first, and writers second, and have a hearty yarn to share. Plus, it could be almost anyone who has the opportunity to take that 50”Wapiti bull or wily old West Coast bull tahr. No matter the writing skill, I know I’d want to hear about that!

While I don’t have any fancy writing qualifications, I am a writer at heart and I’d put myself firmly in the camp
