HOYS: two years on

NEXT month, showing’s elite will congregate at the NEC in Birmingham to compete for the high titles on offer at Horse of the Year Show (HOYS). With no end-of-season finale for two years, HOYS is eagerly anticipated by those riders who have been gunning for a place during 2021.

The show was born in 1949 to mark the end of the equestrian season, with each showing class producing a “Horse of the Year”.

Today, some of the same titles remain and additional sections have been added to create a full schedule celebrating horses and ponies of all types and breeds.
