The stones of Chatsworth have been cleaned, the windows re-gilded, the services updated, and the house is better understood and appreciated than perhaps it has ever been. The 12th Duke and Duchess of Devonshire (Stoker and Amanda Cavendish) have taken a close interest in every decision and are full of praise for the skilled craftspeople who have made Chatsworth what it is.
