The hottest bladesmiths’ hottest knives are never too hot to handle, slice, dice, cut or covet. The most recent examples are cases in sharp points.
The integral sub-hilt fighter by the Sobral Brothers/CAS includes a wavy-ladder-pattern blade of 1095 carbon and 15N20 nickel-alloy steels. Marcelo Sobral did his usual master work on the leather sheath. CAS’s price for the knife and sheath: $5,000.
As has been so for some time now, the three-brother Argentine team of Claudio, Ariel and leather sheath wiz Marcelo Sobral—otherwise known as CAS—are turning out some outlined one of their hottest: a sub-hilt damascus fighter.
