I have a passion for duck decoying on tidal estuaries and enjoy spending time testing different tactics to improve my skills. My go-to system for setting decoys on the water is with a motherline. This is a technique that I have used, and mastered, over the years. Despite being a versatile and robust method to set decoys, it does have some drawbacks that has led me to experiment with different ideas. The following is one such example.
