It’s not every day you get to play a game as a snail. Especially a snail armed to the teeth with weapons! Clid the Snail is a top-down shooter set in gorgeous if grim world that’s been made with loving attention to detail. Although we wish it was a bit brighter! The star is a strange, grumpy character that has previously been kicked out of his home for being such a weirdo. But when a slug plague threatens his new home, he teams up with a group of other mutant oddballs to fight back. The gameplay offers a mix of fun puzzles and frantic action, as you blast away at slug enemies with different weapons and special “shell” powers. It’s a twin stick shooter, so it’s easy to control as you shoot with one stick and walk with the other. We do wish the
