Brownie spiders
Ordinarily, you probably wouldn’t want to be eating spiders, but these brownie spiders change everything. They are extremely decadent with just the right amount of gooeyness – just as a brownie should be.
MAKES A CLUTTER OF SPIDERS
For the brownies
220g (8oz) unsalted butter, melted (or use salted butter and omit the added salt), plus extra for greasing
½ tsp salt
3 tbsp vegetable oil
200g (7oz) caster or granulated sugar
180g (6½oz) dark muscovado sugar
4 large free-range eggs
1 tsp vanilla bean paste
140g (5oz) plain flour
