RESEARCH TIP: Photos of Old Buildings

f your ancestor’s home was leveled to make room for another building (and thus, won’t appear in person or on Google Earth today), look for old photos of it in documents like county history books or local library files. One surprising source may newspaper out of Saint Paul, Minn., featured three full pages of photos of local-area homes. I found it on Chronicling America <>, which has millions of free digitized newspaper pages.
