It is very easy to picture the classic shooting scene. The labrador sat majestically on peg, waiting for its turn to retrieve a bird. The super-fast, covered-in-burrs spaniel, smashing through the cover to flush a pheasant. But what if that classic scene was slightly altered and a terrier was sitting on the peg or a whippet was flushing game?
