■ Background fabric: 3yds

■ Backing fabric: 4yds

■ Binding fabric: ½yd

■ Batting: 60in square

FINISHED SIZE

■ 55in square

NOTES

■ Seam allowances are ¼in throughout, unless otherwise noted.

■ Always press your seams open, unless otherwise instructed.

■ RST = right sides together.

■ WOF = width of fabric.

■ HST = Half-square Triangle.

FABRICS USED

■ Solid fabrics are all Kona Cotton Solids in Peapod, Bluegrass and Snow, by Robert Kaufman.

■ Textured fabrics are from the Speckled collection by Ruby Star Society.

CUTTING OUT

1 From the background fabric cut:

■ Three (3) 6¼in x WOF. Subcut sixteen (16) 6¼in squares and one (1) 53/4in square. Cut the 53/4in square on the diagonal twice to yield four (4) small background triangles.

■ Four (4) 2½in x WOF. Subcut sixty four (64) 2½in squares.

■ Five (5) 1¼in x WOF. Subcut fifty eight (58) 1¼in x 3½in.
