How I Wrote: Dame Claudia Orange

Dame Claudia Orange has been thinking and writing about the Treaty of Waitangi for more than 30 years. She has seen her first book, The Treaty of Waitangi, through several editions and revisions, the latest being a weighty, illustrated version. The Covid lockdown provided the clear space she needed to work on its 30,000 words of captions. She is currently an honorary research fellow at Te Papa, from where she spoke to North & South.
