£9.5MILLION GRANT FOR MARINE DEVELOPMENT IN PLYMOUTH

Plymouth City Council has been awarded £9.5million from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to support the development of 20 marine science, research and technology businesses creating 464 jobs, while enhancing the tourist and events economy. The Plymouth Sound National

Marine Park is not intended to place any extra restrictions on water users, instead enhancing the city’s ability to host events such as Fastnet, America’s Cup and the World Power Boat Championships in an environmentally sensitive way with a view to long-term benefits for residents
