The Mk4 Ford Zephyr and Zodiac had been Ford of Britain’s biggest flop of the 1960s. It was true that the Classic and Corsair had not really sold as well as they should have, but at least they were quite well liked by the motoring press. The big 1966 Fords, however, did not persuade either the press or the buying public.
