FEEDING THE BEAST

After discussing the latest scuttlebutt, often the next subject climbers love to talk about is food – what to eat and what to avoid – which supplements to take, and diets. Unfortunately, though, a lot of climbers are poorly informed, and are often compromising their climbing and health when they apply the ‘latest science’ they’ve read on Instagram. What you eat at the cliff (or what you don’t eat) can definitely impact your climbing performance, whether it’s a day of trad climbing, laps for fitness or working your project. Your diet can also influence the speed of skin repair and muscle recovery.
